Please download the latest version of RepDev from this site, after that the auto-updater will get new updates automatically and you won't have to redownload anything.
1. Download the latest version of Sun Java from Java.com. If you already have 1.5/5.0 or greater installed, you are all set.
2. Download and extract the repdev.zip file from this site to a folder on your local machine.
3. Open port 80 to the host "svn.repdev.org". Be sure to allow any firewall requests if that is applicable. Repdev will still run if the updater fails, but you won't be up to date.
4. Run the "start.bat" file you see in the folder you just extracted to.
5. Go to Tools->Options in the main menu at the top and enter the right IP address for your symitar host in the box provided. If you use the "Local Symitar Emulation" method, it will allow you to just save files to your local drive, but this is mostly for just development testing for us.
6. Click the left most button on the toolbar you see, which looks like a gear with a "+" sign. This will ask for Symitar login info.
7. Once you are connected, you can create projects, edit files, run reports, and more!
Note for Windows 2000 Users:
Windows 2000 users need to install GDI+ from Microsoft before RepDev will work correctly. Visit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6a63ab9c-df12-4... to get the download.
